Hi, I'm Jenna

You’re not the only one asking, “Why doesn’t my brand sound like me anymore?”

You’ve refined your craft, raised your prices, and grown as a creative — but your brand voice feels… stuck. Maybe it sounds too buttoned-up, too generic, too much like your favorite peer’s captions. Or maybe it just doesn’t sound like anyone at all.

This is one of the biggest complaints I hear from seasoned wedding professionals and creative entrepreneurs — and there’s a good reason for it:
Your business has evolved. But your copy hasn’t.

Let’s fix that.

Why your voice feels disconnected (and what to do about it)

If your brand voice feels off, chances are one of these is happening:

  • You’ve grown creatively but haven’t updated your messaging in over a year
  • You’re trying to speak to everyone, so you’re resonating with no one
  • You wrote your copy when you were just starting out, and it no longer reflects your values or energy
  • You’re overthinking tone and second-guessing what your audience wants to hear

Let me be the first to say: this is completely normal. And fixable.
You don’t need a total rebrand — you just need to come back to your voice.

Step 1: Audit your voice (without judgment)

Go page by page through your website and socials and ask:

  • Does this still feel like me?
  • Would my best client feel seen here?
  • Would I actually say this out loud?

Highlight what feels aligned, and gently cross out what doesn’t. This is about awareness, not shame.

Step 2: Anchor into your real voice

Your real voice is probably already showing up in…

  • The way you speak to clients on a consult call
  • The voicemails or DMs you send to friends
  • The behind-the-scenes captions you don’t over-edit

Write like that.

What phrases do you always say? What tone do you bring to your work — grounded, warm, precise, magnetic? That’s your baseline.

Step 3: Amplify what’s already working

You don’t need to reinvent your voice — you need to reintroduce it.
Start small by:

  • Refreshing your About page intro
  • Updating your inquiry response to sound more like you
  • Rewriting 1–2 Instagram captions with words you actually use

The goal here isn’t to “sound like a brand.”
It’s to sound like the most magnetic version of yourself — confident, aligned, and clear.
